Seeing Red?

Many people say that red symbolises good luck, but in fact, to me, legend has said that it is suppose to ward off the evil creature (bad luck). Something that ward off bad luck is not the same as something that gives or create good luck. This is just a thought. I am neither superstitious nor believe in luck.
