Second chance anyone?

Have you heard of a chinese saying which says 回头是岸 (hui2 tou2 shi4 an4)? It means turn back as the shore is behind you. It is often used to advise on people who have went the wrong way, instead of swimming away further and further, deeper and deeper, why not turn back, as the shore is not far away.

But how welcoming is the shore in the first place? Have you not given a second chance to someone who have wronged you or did something wrong in the past?

Fiction: This people deserve it as they chose to go the wrong way in the first place.
Fact: Sometime the environment and circumstances forces them "out to sea".
Fact: If a second chance is not given to them, they are forced to swim "out to sea" again.

If you were to be in their shoe, would you want a second chance?

Freedom of Choice

Have you ever felt helpless when you give an advice to people and people just don't take heed to it? Have you ever wish that you are god then you can make them listen to you and become better? I many times do, but I console myself that I myself am not god, therefore they did'nt listen to me.

However, I realise that this is not true at all. Even YHWH also will not force anyone listen to Him if the person don't want to listen. So the next time when you give someone an advice for their good and they listen, just think, even YHWH choose to give them the freedom of choice, what makes you think that you can force anyone to listen to you for their own good? Just hope that they will come to their senses soon. ;) Good Day.

Kite Flying

The string on a kite is one of the most important component of the kite. Many people like to compare the tension of the string with the bond or relationship between 2 person. Many say if there is too much tension on the string, the string will break. They are trying to say that it is better not to 'tie' the person too much else it will break.

While observing someone flying a kite recently, I also realise that the higher the kite fly, the harder it is to control it. What I also observe is the kite is a special kite with 2 strings attached. This makes it easier to steer the kite to a right position to catch onto a oncoming gust of wind. Personify this to the above scenario. There is many aspect of kite flying with a philosophy in it.
